Nalgene I like polycarbonate better than Tritan copolyester. I think its the way that the copolyester tends to flex a little when I squeeze it that is slightly disconcerting. I've just been conditioned to feel like Nalgene brand bottles shouldn't buckle under pressure. I'm up to 3 bottles, two polycarbonate and one copolyester. In theory they shouldn't break or wear out, but having personally witnessed one sink to the bottom of a porta-potty and another get accidentally filled with used motor oil, I can imagine they have a slightly shorter MTBF.

Joe the Plumber I'll advocate for Obama from now until Election Day, but Joe Wurzelbacher has my vote locked up solid. Both candidates spoke to him with such sincerity and respect that one can only conclude that Joe the Plumber is a king among men, a bellwether of Senators, and a leader we can all trust to grow the small businesses of the United States for the next four years. Joe Oh Eight!

Hypochondria I like when my medications have big warnings that say LOW POTENTIAL FOR OVERDOSE. That just warms me to the core of my short attention span. Considering I can empty a box of cookies or a bag of Goldfish in mere minutes while working without any conscious thought of consuming them, the pill bottles on my nightstand are a constant nightmare.

Meta-Blogging OpenOffice has some annoying habits with tool-bars and auto-formatting that have been difficult for me to turn off. Every time I move back and forth over this bulleted list of items, I get a bulleted list tool-bar floating over my writing space. How many times do I have to turn it off? Maybe I should see what Xemacs has to offer.

The Dizz Dinner with Elissa at The Dizz was fun. We caught up on most everything of importance over the last few months. Didn't stay around long enough for the Drinking Liberally folks to show up at 9pm because we overstayed our welcome at the table until the waitress had to (very politely) ask us to leave -- and then I was embarrassed and a little tired to stick around anyway. It was nice to just sit at home and listen to the prattle of the debates at home in the comfort of my own office.

Dodgeball Game tomorrow. Looking forward to our inevitable 0-4-0. My life needs to kick in a "good at dodgeball" montage where in a series of nonspecific athletic clips I acquire all the necessary skills to not be the first one out every game, and actually make a point or two.
